Corrections and challenges
We want venue information to be accurate and the methodology applied consistently. This page explains what can be corrected, what can be challenged, and what does not change merely because a venue disagrees with the outcome.
Factual corrections
If a published fact is wrong, for example capacity, number of bedrooms, accessibility provision, or a facility, we will need the venue name, the fact you believe is wrong, the correct information, and supporting evidence or a source we can verify.
We will review the evidence against our normal source rules.
If a correction is accepted, we preserve the audit history of the previous value and update the current accepted fact. Where the corrected fact affects a live score, the score may be recalculated under the applicable methodology version.
Calculation challenges
A venue may ask us to check whether the published methodology was applied correctly to its accepted facts. If we find a calculation or implementation error, we will correct it.
Methodology objections
A venue may disagree with the weight we give a criterion. That is feedback about the methodology, not a factual correction.
We may consider such feedback when reviewing a future methodology version. We do not normally change a current score or frozen ranking because one venue prefers a different weighting.
Editorial complaints
If you believe editorial wording is factually wrong, misleading, or unfairly implies something not supported by our evidence, identify the specific wording and explain your concern.
Historical rankings
Historical ranking editions remain historical records. A later factual change does not normally rewrite the ranking as it stood at the publication date. If a material error existed at publication, we may add a correction note.
No paid appeals
There is no paid route to a correction, review, or ranking appeal.
